A Talk With Al

So I had a conversation with my dog tonight. It went something like this.

Me: “Hey buddy.”
Al: “Where’s my food?”
Me: “It’s not time to eat.”
Al: “What about now?”
Me: “Al, have you ever pondered life and this wheel that we seem to go around?”
Al: “I could ponder better if I had some food.”
Me: “Al, do you think we humans make life too complicated? Why can’t things be simple and work the way we see in movies?”
Al: “If I lick you will you give me food?”
Me: “Thanks for the kisses buddy. Do you think there are any simple answers to life out there, or do we have to constantly complicate things with more questions until we can’t see the answers because of all the shit piled in front of it?”
Al: “The simple answer would be yes, I’ll give you some food.”
Me: “I wish I could be like you and not have to tax my mind with questions and just enjoy life.”
Al: “I wish I had thumbs so I could get myself some food.”
Me: “Thanks for talking with me buddy. Here’s a bone.”
Al: Munch. Crunch. Munch. “You talk too much dad.”
